Following the extremely sad passing of club member Margaret Cross, her husband Rob has received a request from the Gurkha Welfare Trust (GWT) to name a school building in Nepal after Margaret. Over the years Margaret and Rob have worked tirelessly in raising funds for the GWT.
The school is to have a new 3 classroom block built that will be dedicated to Margaret. It is situated in the Chitwan district of Nepal near the Chitwan National Park, a tiger reserve that Margaret and Rob have visited frequently over the years.

Are we getting nearer to attending our club meetings
The future is looking brighter, but it is unlikely we will be able to attend Lea Hall for the remainder of this season which ends on the 14th of June. Should circumstances change and lock down end earlier, we will of course swing into action and arrange the commencement of our meetings.
Your committee are now planning for a return on the 6th September and the start of a new season, when we hope to be back to something, resembling normal.
We are of course continuing with our zoom meetings, these do allow us to keep in touch with our members and give us all some enjoyment during these difficult times
